Initially affiliated with Bombay University, Sir L A Shah Law College was later permanently affiliated with Gujarat University after its formation in 1949. This is the flagship educational institute of Gujarat Law Society, which has since metamorphosized into a huge trust managing 34 different academic institutions ranging from kindergarten to post graduate courses across disciplines such as arts, commerce, law, and management and information technology.
